In years past, I suspect their New Year’s resolutions
May have been made under a cloud of sparkly falling confetti.
Run farther,
Or eat Healthier.
Travel more, maybe?
Earn that promotion, perhaps?
This year.
I’m sure.
Resolutions made,
And quietly whispered,
Then sealed with a gentle kiss atop a fuzzy little head.
Hold tightly, keep safely, love boldly,
Their wonderful new little you.
