It’s never easy for the youngest. A new baby in the house means the “old baby’s” world is flipped upside down. When a child knows no other position but, “the baby”, it’s difficult when the attention suddenly shifts to someone else. Purple baby has been rocked, cuddled, and loved, for such a long time, that she bears a slight resemblance to the velveteen rabbit. There was much concern about how she would react to her new little brother.
In the sweetest little voice, her ginger haired sister patiently explained that, they all love her just as much as they always have. She needn’t worry, there are enough arms in the house to hug all the babies, purple or blue.
