My coffee “breaks” happen in the car,
Or while braiding hair and scrambling eggs (wearing yesterday’s clothes).
It seems the coffee is always minus the break.
As a result, I rarely get to look back through my work, mug in hand, like I intend to.
So, I am always glad for the pause button called January.
Before I say hello to next year, I can finally sit down and look through all of the images that have filled my lens over the last one.
I find myself grateful.
Fortunate that you have invited me into your homes, and into your lives, to share and capture the moments that fill your hearts.
They also fill mine.
I often joke that I’ll hang your images on my walls; it’s because your moments have become important to me as well.
This New Years feels like a Thanksgiving of sorts.
These images are of clients, friends, and family, but it’s become difficult to tell who falls into which category.
And I’m thankful that this is such a difficult task.
