Coleston’s turning one, and it seems that makes him old enough to bake himself a cake (with a little help from his big sister Lyla).

To our surprise, the chocolate icing covered masterpiece had mixed reviews from the Chef himself. But then it was his first time behind the mixer, and I have a sneaking suspicion they may have added an egg (or twelve) too many.

While it turned out the birthday boy didn’t like the taste of the cake, he certainly enjoyed making the mess. So much so, that both the pans and the boy  went straight into a sink full of soap.
